Morphology

movement = move (semi-transparent) = move + ment

The musical sense is a conventionalized technical term for a self-contained section of a composition; related to 'movement' as a distinguishable motion/part but not a literal physical motion.

Etymology

The word movement comes from the Latin movere 'to move' and is the same root as move and motion. In music a movement is a big section that 'moves' with its own speed and feeling, so each part has its own character.
