Morphology

Persian + language

The phrase is fully compositional: 'Persian' names the national/ethnic identity (and already often the language) and 'language' denotes a system of speech, so a learner who knows both words will readily infer 'the language of Persia/Iran'. The meaning follows straightforward cross-linguistic nationality+language patterns and is therefore immediately understandable to a B1 learner.

Etymology

Persian language comes from the old land called Persia, the old name for 'Iran'. So it simply means the language spoken there today, often called 'Farsi', and it includes old and modern forms used in famous poetry.
