hyperthermia = thermia (semi-transparent) = hyper + therm + ia

Etymology
Hyperthermia comes from two Greek parts: hyper- meaning 'over' and therm- meaning 'heat', the same root you see in thermal and thermometer. So hyperthermia literally means 'too much heat' and is used for when the body has a temperature that is too high, whether from heat stroke or when doctors raise body heat on purpose for treatment.
