feedingforward present participle
feedforwards third person singular

Morphology

feedforward = feed (semi-transparent) = forward + feed

The word clearly combines 'feed' and 'forward', but the specialized sense of passing information on for future use is only partly predictable from the parts. [Postprocessing: moved 'forward' from base_words to prefix]

Etymology

Feedforward comes from the parts feed ('to give') and forward ('ahead'). As a verb, it means to give advice or information before an event to help someone do better, not to judge what they did before.
