Morphology
spectroradiometer = radiometer (semi-transparent) = spectro + radio + meter
The word is a regular prefixation on the technical base 'radiometer', but the scientific terminology makes the meaning only partly accessible to ordinary learners.
Etymology
The word spectroradiometer is made of three parts you may know: spectro- like spectrum meaning 'range of colours or wavelengths', radio- meaning 'radiation' or 'radio waves', and -meter meaning 'a device that measures'. So, a spectroradiometer is an instrument that 'measures' light or other radiation across different parts of the spectrum.
