Etymology
The word carcinosarcoma comes from Greek parts: carcino- from a word for 'crab' used for cancer, as in carcinoma, sarcoma from a word for 'flesh', and -oma meaning 'tumor'. So carcinosarcoma is a tumor that has both carcinoma ('cancer') and sarcoma ('flesh') cells.
