Etymology
Pantechnicon comes from Greek parts pan- 'all' and techne 'craft', and it was once the name of a large London furniture warehouse. Because the warehouse used long vans to move furniture, those vans became known as pantechnicons, so today the word means a big van used for moving furniture.
