Morphology
naturopathy = nature (semi-transparent) = naturo + pathy
The element 'naturo-' clearly relates to 'nature', but the combining element '-pathy' (treatment/system) is a specialized medical combining form not known to many learners, so the full meaning is only partly predictable.
Etymology
Naturopathy joins nature 'the natural world' and -pathy (a word part used for illness or treatment, as in homeopathy). So naturopathy means 'treatment by natural methods', which is why it describes using diet, exercise, and other natural ways to help the body heal.
