Etymology
The word muskeletal joins muscle and skeleton. Muscle comes from a Latin word meaning 'little mouse' because a moving muscle looks like a small mouse under the skin, and skeleton means 'bones', so musculoskeletal means 'relating to both muscles and the skeleton'.
