Etymology
Margarita comes from the Spanish margarita meaning 'daisy'. Cocktails called 'daisy' mix a spirit, a sweet liqueur and citrus, so a margarita is the 'daisy' made with tequila, orange liqueur and lime, often served with a salt rim.
