Morphology
inexhaustible = exhaustible (semi-transparent) = in + exhaust + ible
The negative prefix 'in-' combines regularly with 'exhaustible' to mean 'not exhaustible'.
Etymology
Inexhaustible comes from the prefix in- 'not' and exhaust 'use up', the same idea you see in exhausted. So something inexhaustible cannot be used up and is 'unlimited', like a well that never runs dry.
