Etymology
Inductee comes from the parts in- 'into' and duct 'lead', plus the ending -ee. A helpful way to remember it is that an inductee is someone 'led into' a group or job in a formal ceremony, and -ee is the same ending as in employee and trainee, meaning 'the person who receives the action'.
