Morphology
hypothermia = hypo + therm + ia
Although the term is built from classical elements meaning 'under' and 'heat/temperature', the medical sense 'abnormally low body temperature' is specialized and not directly predictable for an average learner.
Etymology
Hypothermia comes from two Greek parts: hypo- meaning 'under' and thermia meaning 'heat', and you can see the same 'therm' in thermometer and thermal. So, hypothermia is when the body's heat is 'under' normal and the body becomes very cold.
