Morphology
homeopathy = homeo + pathy
Formed from Greek combining forms ('homeo-' = similar; '-pathy' = disease/treatment) that are not familiar to average B1 learners and can be mistaken for the unrelated English word 'home', so the meaning is not guessable from everyday vocabulary.
Etymology
The word homeopathy comes from Greek parts homoios meaning 'similar' and pathos meaning 'suffering' or 'disease'. A helpful way to remember it is 'like cures like' — homeopathy treats a problem with a very small amount of something that would cause similar symptoms, so it uses tiny doses to try to help the body heal.
