Etymology
The word guitar-shaped comes from guitar, the name of the musical instrument that English took from Spanish 'guitarra', and the part -shaped means 'in the form of'. So guitar-shaped simply means 'in the shape of a guitar', which is why we call a cake, pool, or sculpture that looks like a guitar 'guitar-shaped'.
