Etymology
Azoospermia breaks into a- 'without', zoo- 'life' (as in zoo), and sperm 'seed' or 'sperm'. So, azoospermia literally names the condition of having 'no living sperm', which is why it means semen with no sperm cells and often leads to infertility.
