Etymology
Annon comes from Spanish anón and French anone, which probably come from a Caribbean Indigenous word 'anona' that people used for the fruit. So annon simply names the 'custard apple', helping you remember it as the soft, sweet, custard-like tropical fruit with shiny black seeds.
