Morphology
unvisited = visited (transparent) = un + visit + ed
The sense is the same morphological negation of 'visited' in a digital context, so the formation is regular and predictable.
Etymology
Unvisited also comes from un- 'not' plus visit 'to go and see', and today we often say we 'visit' a web page when we open it. So an unvisited link or page is one users have 'not gone to' or 'not seen' yet.
