The adjective is formed by adding the negative prefix 'un-' to 'reviewed', a standard and directly interpretable negation of 'reviewed'.
Etymology
The word unreviewed is made of un- 'not' and review, which is re- 'again' plus view 'look'. So unreviewed means 'not looked at again' or 'not checked', which is why it describes something that has not yet been examined.
