Morphology
unauthenticity = unauthentic (transparent) = un + authentic + ity
Formed by adding the noun-forming suffix '-ity' to the adjective 'unauthentic', a regular derivation.
Etymology
Unauthenticity breaks into un- ('not') and authentic ('real' or 'genuine'). So unauthenticity is the state or quality of being 'not real', which is why we use it when something seems fake.
