Etymology
Ulnar comes from the Latin word ulna, which meant 'forearm' or 'elbow'. So ulnar means something near the ulna, the inner bone of the lower arm, which is why doctors say 'ulnar nerve' or 'ulnar side' when they mean the side toward that bone.
