Morphology

replete = re + plete

Although built from re- + a root meaning 'fill', the specific sense 'sated' is not transparently derivable for an average B1 learner because the root 'plete' is not a standalone English word and the sense has shifted to 'fully satisfied (especially with food)'.

Etymology

Replete comes from the Latin parts re- ('again') and plere ('to fill'), so it originally meant 'filled up'. That is why when you are replete after a meal you are completely full and cannot eat another bite.
