Etymology

Quiz may have begun as a made-up word a long time ago in Dublin, and one popular story says a man paid people to write 'quiz' on walls overnight so everyone would talk about it. That story is a helpful memory because a quiz is a 'short test', a small set of questions that checks what you know.
