Formally the same agentive formation, but the software/MVP sense is domain-specific (a component that 'presents' data/logic), so learners may not immediately map the everyday verb to this technical role.

Etymology

Presenter comes from present 'to show' plus -er 'one who does'. In software the presenter is the part that 'shows' data to the view, which is why its name means it presents information between the model and the screen.
