Compounds

Morphology
panorama = pan + orama
The prefix 'pan-' ('all'/'wide') is recognizable from other compounds, but the second element '-orama' is not a standalone English word, so the full composition is only partially obvious to learners.
Etymology
Panorama comes from Greek parts pan- meaning 'all' and -orama meaning 'view', so it was used for pictures that show the whole scene at once, like a long, continuous image that captures a wide area.
