The relation 'lymph-' + 'angioma' is morphologically regular (a subtype formed by adding a medical combining form), but the term uses specialized combining forms unfamiliar to average learners.
Etymology
Lymphangioma comes from three parts: lymph meaning 'clear body fluid', angio meaning 'vessel', and oma meaning 'tumor'. So a lymphangioma is a growth made from the small vessels that carry lymph.
