The term is a technical medical formation from Greek combining forms ('aden-' + '-pathy') and is not transparently interpretable by an average B1 learner despite 'lymph' being a recognizable word.
Etymology
The word lymphadenopathy breaks into lymph ('clear fluid'), aden ('gland', as in adenoid) and -pathy ('disease'), so it literally means 'disease of the lymph glands' and is used for swollen or abnormal lymph nodes.
