Morphologically transparent, but the sports-specific sense 'incompletion' (an incomplete pass) requires domain knowledge beyond the literal state of not being complete.
Etymology
Incompletion uses the same parts, in- 'not' and complete, so in football an incompletion is a forward pass that was 'not caught' and therefore the play was not made into a 'complete' one.
