Etymology
Horoscope comes from Greek parts hora ('hour' or 'time') and skopos ('watcher' or 'look'), the same root as the English scope. Because a horoscope was made for the exact time of your birth, people used it to 'watch' the stars at that moment and make guesses about your future.
