Although the word is historically built from the medical combining form 'gyneco-' and '-logy', the components are classical and not transparently recoverable for an average B1 learner.
Etymology
Gynecology comes from Greek words gynē meaning 'woman' and -logy meaning 'study', the same -logy you see in biology. So, gynecology is the medical study of women's health.
