Morphology

grammaticality = grammatical (transparent) = grammar + ical + ity

A standard nominalization: the adjective 'grammatical' + '-ity' yields 'the quality/state of being grammatical'.

Etymology

Grammaticality comes from grammar, an old word for the 'rules of language', plus the ending -ity meaning 'state' or 'quality'. So grammaticality is the 'state of being correct or acceptable by the rules of grammar'.
