Etymology
Cappuccino comes from the Italian cappuccio, meaning 'hood', and it was named after the Capuchin monks whose brown hoods looked like the colour of the drink. So a cappuccino is called that because the dark coffee with light foam reminded people of a monk's 'little hood'.
