Surface Forms
Morphology
angiocardiogram = angio + cardio + gram
Although the term is built from recognizable Greek combining forms meaning vessel, heart, and record, the specialized medical sense of an X-ray image is not readily inferable for an average B1 learner.
Etymology
Angiocardiogram comes from three parts: angio- meaning 'vessel', cardio- meaning 'heart', and -gram meaning 'a recorded picture', like in diagram. So an angiocardiogram is a recorded image of the heart and its blood vessels.
