Morphology
algorithmically = algorithmic (transparent) = algorithm + ic + ally
Formed by adding the productive adverbial suffix '-ally' to the adjective 'algorithmic', which itself is straightforwardly derived from 'algorithm'.
Etymology
Algorithmically comes from algorithm, which itself comes from the name of a Persian scholar al-Khwārizmī and originally meant a clear set of 'rules' for calculating numbers. So, to do something algorithmically is to do it by a fixed set of 'steps' or 'rules', like following a recipe, and that is why we use the word for computer processes.
