Etymology
Adventitia comes from Latin parts ad- 'to' and venire 'to come', meaning 'coming from outside'. So adventitia names the outer layer of tissue that sits on the outside of an organ or vessel, and you can remember it like advent ('arrival') because it is the part that 'comes' on the outside.
