Etymology
Pr stands for the chemical element praseodymium, whose name comes from Greek parts praseo- meaning 'green' and -didymium meaning 'twin'. It was called the 'green twin' because it was found near a similar element and its salts are green, so Pr now stands for a rare earth metal used in strong alloys and special glass.
